COVID-FAQ

What happens to the application that I have already submitted?

Any potential Scholar that submitted an application will be invited to apply again in January 2021.  Your new application will be considered at that time.

Will my child be able to participate in your summer programs?

Lincoln Foundation is following the guidelines recommended by Governor Beshear. We will announce a decision on the status of our summer programs at a later date.

My Scholar has been looking forward to the Closing Auction.  Will this take place?

Bellarmine University, where the Closing Auction is scheduled to take place, is one of the many colleges closed through the end of their spring semester as a result of COVID-19.  It has also been difficult to prepare and obtain items for this year’s auction. For these reasons, we regret the Closing Auction will not take place this year.

What will happen with the Senior Banquet?

The Senior Banquet also takes place at Bellarmine University, which will be closed through mid-May.  This means the Senior Banquet scheduled for May 16 will not be able to take place on that date. Lincoln Foundation is working on another way to celebrate our graduating seniors and we will announce what the revised plans are at a later date.

I’ve been listening to the news regarding the peak of the COVID-19 and there’s indications social distancing may be in place for a long time.  How will Lincoln Foundation stay in touch with me?

Educational Program staff are reaching out to our senior Scholars and will begin offering bi-weekly online video conferencing beginning next week.  Other virtual and on-line learning opportunities are currently being explored and we will announce these efforts soon.
