Capital Campaign in Support of the Whitney M. YOUNG Scholars Program® Expansion
In August 2016, Lincoln Foundation publically announced a five-year, $5 million capital campaign in support of the Whitney M. YOUNG Scholars Program® expansion. Since that time, we have successfully raised over $3 million toward the $5 million goal.
Lead gifts from the James Graham Brown Foundation, The C.E. & S. Foundation, and The Gheens Foundation enabled Lincoln Foundation to begin the expansion efforts during the 2016-2017 academic year, and since that time, the program has grown from 281 Scholars pre-expansion to approximately 460 today. We are also grateful to the many other organizations and individuals who have joined the cause, including LG& E & KU Energy, Old National Bank, and Toyota USA Foundation. Their support has enabled Lincoln Foundation to serve a greater number of students in our community. We thank you!
We have made tremendous progress since the public launch of the capital campaign. However, we still need your help. An anonymous donor has provided Lincoln Foundation with a $250,000 matching gift challenge, and we have until December 2018 to reach this goal.
We invite you to join Lincoln Foundation on the path to achieving our $5,000,000 goal with a gift or pledge to the Capital Campaign in support of the Whitney M. YOUNG Scholars Program® expansion. You will be making an important investment in the lives of our very deserving youth.
